Take Baby Harper to Work Day

Today I got to spend all day with Harper.  We started the day with breakfast - oatmeal and pineapple with cantaloupe slices.

...then some plays with the new firetruck Aunt Angie gave Harper this weekend.

After a short morning nap, it was off to work for mommy and baby Harper.  Harper was very well behaved and played quietly on the floor of my office while I got some work done.  It helped that I picked him up some organic freeze-dried peas from Earthfare on the way in - a new snack for him that he happily crammed in his face while I worked.

Now where did I put those TPS reports?
Important data to help mom calculate.
Time to hit the lab.

A few hours later we headed home for a much needed afternoon nap (mommy & Harper naps).

Being a working baby is tiring.

Harper is going to have to get used to working a full time job.

Overall we had a great day and a great discovery with Harper's favorite new snack food...a nice change of pace from Cheerios and puffs.

Tomorrow daddy gets to stay home with baby Harper (and hopefully finish the crown molding).

And We're Back!

Sorry I have not posted any new pics lately.  I have been so busy at work the past few weeks I have hardly had to time to eat or sleep, much less take and post pictures.

Regardless, I will try to be more diligent.

Nothing new has happened the last few weeks.  We have started Harper on self-feeding solid foods and he has taken very well to it.  Today we introduced Cheerios and spaghetti.

Spaghetti is tasty & fun!

Needless to say, self-feeding and resulted in more frequent baths, which results in extra puffy Harper hair.

Week before last I volunteered at the local baby/kids consignment sale (Kindermarket), so I got first pick of the goods.  Harper scored some pretty cute new (used) clothes and toys.

Today Omi, Oma, Mr. Kern, Aunt Heather, Aunt Angie, and cousin Nicole came to visit us today in Athens.  We had a lot of fun and it was great getting to see everybody.  Aunt Angie gave Harper a Green Toys firetruck, along with a very cute outfit and some bibs.  Extra points for a gift made of recycled milk cartons that also happens to be one of my favorite brands :)  We had brunch at the Grit (per our usual Sunday morning routine), then walked around campus and went shopping downtown for a bit.  When/if Heather sends me pics I will share them.

After everyone left, Brian, Harper, and I enjoyed some much needed relaxation at Hendershots.

Hendershot's is FUN
Sweaty ball cap = great teething toy
A refreshing Terrapin on a Sunday afternoon

On the docket for tomorrow - Harper goes to work with Mommy...this should be interesting.

I solemnly swear to post picture AT LEAST once a week from hear on out.
